p. byrne was born in 1965 in St. Louis , Missouri. He took to art as soon as he was able to hold a pencil. Years of artistic expression made it clear that Pat's life would be centered upon his passion for art.
After high school, Pat attended the University of Dayton in Ohio where he studied painting, fine art and design. It was during this time that he first became familiar with such artists as Jean Michel Basquiat, Mark Rothko and Robert Motherwell as well as many others whose work has continued to inspire him throughout his career.
After taking a year off school and exploring the East coast while working on a yacht, Pat decided to head West where he attended the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver. While there he discovered his own unique style and also served as a teaching assistant alongside his Art Professors.
Pat and his family decided to move to New England in the Fall of 2001, where he was an integral part of the launch of Integration Gallery in Westerly Rhode Island where he was also a resident artist. Byrne became a major part of the art scene in downtown Westerly and throughout New England where he sold and exhibited his works in several galleries and shops up and down the coast.
